Read Through Express

Reading aloud and reading books is educational and fun. Would you like your child to read more independently and enjoy reading books more? And would you like to learn how you as a parent can help your child with this? For children between 8 and 12 years old there is the DoorleesExpress.

A JES volunteer will visit your home once a week (twenty times in total). The volunteer will work with your child to find fun ways to work with language. You will receive tips on how to pay more attention to language at home. For example, by reading together, talking to each other and playing (language) games. Even if you have difficulty with language, you can still join in. The volunteer will work with you to find out what works in your family and how you can help your child.
